Why should we have adult Sunday School classes? I thought Sunday School was just for kids. Isn’t participation in the worship service enough?

Fellowship

For many people, fellowship is the answer. It can be hard to get to know people during the worship service, but Sunday School is ideal for this purpose.

Ministry

The love and concern for each other that flows naturally from friendships leads to ministry opportunities, another purpose of adult Sunday School. Followers of Christ are instructed to pray for, encourage, and help one another.

Bible Study

Understanding the Word of God is a prerequisite to knowing and doing the will of God. Bible study is a key component of Sunday School.

Outreach

A fourth reason for adult Sunday School classes is one that should not be overlooked, and that is their usefulness in reaching out to others. The best way for newcomers to connect at East Hill is through loving acceptance by a Bible study group (adult Sunday School class).
